W
e are a group of people in the Washington, DC area who come together to study, discuss and explore the concept of biotensegrity as originated and developed by Stephen M. Levin, MD.

We come from diverse fields and backgrounds. Many of us are interested in what a sound understanding of biotensegrity may lead to in terms of our work, our research, our physical practices, or our interactions with clients and students. We also appreciate the value of better understanding the structure of our own bodies, through which we live our lives, and the other living organisms with which we interact on a daily basis.

We started in 2012, we meet a few times per year, and every meeting and event is a little different from the last. To get an idea of this, please see our
Events page, which includes info about upcoming and past events.

Our meetings have included artists, actors, acupuncturists and Alexander teachers, educators, engineers, entrepreneurs, inventors, therapists, physical therapists, physicians, physicists, project managers, biologists, osteopaths, practitioners and teachers of Feldenkrais, T’ai Chi, and Yoga, teachers of Theater, Golf and Math, ice skaters, kinesiologists, social workers, surgeons, massage therapists, writers...
